A personal book project
"My first self-designed and self-published printed journal. It's a love letter to my dearest family and friends, and an intimate recollection of the places I have traveled and lived.
They enrich my life, making me a much better human being."
Background
As a spontaneous idea to keep my creative energy during quarantine life active, useful and enjoyable, I started a simple craft project sending hand drawn postcards to my friends overseas while sheltering in Melbourne, Australia from March through April 2020.

This booklet is the second phase of the project –
a collection of 20 select postcards;
a curated series of essays on the backstories of time,
travel and love behind the drawing of each card.
The book represents the very personal art healing process of mine to reconnect with myself and regenerate during the pandemic. It’s an experiment with how an individual can stay optimistic, share positivity and explore new possibilities alongside uncertainty.
A special gift of the unexpected pause in life;
A process of art therapy that sheltered me during downtime;
A creative approach that turned negative impact of COVID into positivities and new possibilities;
And an on-going book design experiment >>>
