KOJI Vol. 5 is the latest pink edition released at the end of summer, 2026.
The main creative period for Vol. 5 ran from March to July 2026. As the issue approached completion, an underlying theme began to emerge: tell the stories of life in transformation through the gentle power of art.
Continuing KOJI’s established editorial structure, this issue features a visual art special, nine in-depth profiles, and an illustration. Together, these stories offer glimpses into creative scenes in Melbourne, Australia; London, UK; Gothenburg, Sweden; Turku, Finland; and Nagoya, Wakayama, and Tokyo in Japan.
Eleven independent photographers and two independent contributors from around the world contributed to this issue, bringing a rich spectrum of colours and perspectives to the reading experience.
Collaborating with carefully selected independent photographers from different parts of the world to create original visual narratives has been at the heart of KOJI since its inception. KOJI is both a rare cross-cultural, bilingual collection of in-depth stories about creative practitioners and a photography book that celebrates the distinctive styles of independent photographers and pays tribute to the art of narrative photography.
